Wandering Woolies what is Wandering Woolies? Wandering Woolies is a hobby that seems to be taking on a life of its own.

I learned to knit as a child, and learned to spin about 25 years ago. Wandering Woolies creates handspun yarns, using fibers mostly from NH and Maine. Some yarn is for sale, and some is used to knit up warming items such as hats, cowls, and fleece-stuffed mittens. There are also fun things like felted cat toys and some knitted Christmas ornaments. My favorites are the gnomes (ganomeys?), which are

highly individual. They look great peeking from the top of a Christmas stocking and leaning casually against a candlestick on the mantel. One of them accompanies a friend on local and world-wide travels, sending back photos to make us all jealous.

Before and after, garlicscape pesto. I’ve always just followed a basil pesto recipe, subbing in garlicscapes, and never liked it all that much. This time I used the recipe from the Cheticamp community group, and it already tastes better, even before the flavors had a chance to blend together.

Something I’ve wanted to do for so long…

Like everything in life, there will be wonderful surprises add over the months to come but think pop up classes in the gardens, aromatherapy on the beach...you get the idea :) Thank you all again for your support during "our build"!

Here’s something to look forward to!

Good morning beautiful people! 76 days to the fiber frolic! We are up to 60 vendors, have booked entertainment and the the excitement is building … I can smell the wool, I can hear the excitement of my fellow fiber friends, and my hands are yearning to touch that new place!!! What can you not wait for? Let us know!
