My grandson, William, got his first ever steelhead.
Hooked it himself and fought him , grandpa was on the net.
He said, that was crazy grandpa.
He didn't want to hold it.

I apologize if I gave anyone hope river conditions would improve quickly. The flow shot up to 1800 cfs overnight, didn't see that coming. There were people out trying this morning.

Fishing was a little slow today for me. Hooked 4, landed 2. River looked great in the morning, later afternoon not so much, water is muddy again, flow is rising but shouldn't last long, most of the snow is gone already. If you fish Kohler, above weeden creek was still ok. It's amazing how much muddy water that little creek puts out.

Browns were hungry today and finally got a couple steelhead to bite a spinner as well. Pink was hot.
