Your twenties are about addition. More money. More status. More stuff. More people. You assume happiness is somewhere in the pile if you just keep stacking.

Then you hit your thirties and realize you've been solving the wrong equation.

The happiest version of your life isn't buried under more. It's hiding beneath less.

Less debt. Fewer obligations you agreed to out of guilt. Fewer people who drain you. Fewer yeses that should have been nos.

Everybody's out here trying to add their way to fulfillment. New job. New city. New relationship. New thing to buy. But you can't outrun a life that's full of the wrong stuff by adding more stuff.

You have to subtract.

Look at what's draining you and cut it. The friendship you're maintaining out of history, not joy. The commitment you keep because you said you would, not because it matters. The lifestyle expenses that impress people you don't even like.

Happiness isn't something you chase down. It's what's left when you stop carrying things that were never worth the weight.

Subtract first. See what remains.

She holds no hate or resentment and certainly no desire for revenge. She doesn't need it.
But make no mistake, she is fully aware of your actions.
You treated her cruelly and then played the victim when she chose to walk away.
In your attempt to preserve yourself, you avoided accountability and manipulated the truth, using her pain for your gain.
You exposed her vulnerabilities, thinking it would break her.
You tried to isolate her with gaslighting and deceit.
From the pits, you rained hell.
You showed your fangs.
You dug in your claws.
Squeezing the jugular, going for blood. A real monster.
But you underestimated her.
Opossum.
You mistook stillness for surrender. But she wasn't playing dead, she was watching.
Waiting. Calculating. Letting you reveal yourself.
She didn't just survive; she transcended your attacks, turning pain into power:
She didn't need to match your darkness to defeat you. She confronted you, exposed you, and emerged untouched.
Now, she stands unmovable. Fear none. Bar none.
You went for blood.
You squeezed the jugular.
You dug in your claws.
You showed your fangs.
And still, you lost. A beheading.
She, a slayer of monsters. Victorious.
