Happy Birthday, Snoopy! 🐶🎉 Here are some fun facts to celebrate everyone's favorite beagle:

🎂 Snoopy's official birthday is August 10. The date was established in a Peanuts comic strip published on August 10, 1968, where the gang throws him a surprise birthday party. (An earlier 1951 strip also celebrated his birthday, but August 10 became the official date.)
🐾 He debuted almost at the very beginning of Peanuts. Snoopy first appeared on October 4, 1950, just two days after the comic strip launched.
🐕 He's a Beagle. Although his appearance became more stylized over the years, Charles M. Schulz confirmed Snoopy as a beagle.
🚀 Snoopy is a NASA icon. Since the late 1960s, Snoopy has been NASA's mascot for flight safety. The prestigious Silver Snoopy Award is given to outstanding NASA employees and contractors, and Snoopy has even "flown" on space missions.
🏆 He's an honorary AKC dog. Snoopy became the first fictional dog to receive an honorary American Kennel Club registration (Beagle-1).
