We love growing and taking care of plants. My husband Joe is very passionate about the art of Bonsai – training, potting, and growing a collection of evergreen and tropical trees. My interest revolves around Philodendrons. I love caring for them, propagating them, and sharing them with others. There’s something about plants that seems so right. I admire that you can’t make them grow any faster; an

d that they need just the right balance of elements to thrive. We wanted to create our own virtual plant shop based out of our home. With the growing popularity of the “houseplant craze,” we noticed it was getting harder and harder to find quality plants. We want to make ourselves available to share the proper care information about our plants to help you keep them thriving. We have an indoor and outdoor greenhouse here in Sewell, NJ.

Apparently I had my own PlantCon and had firesales all weekend. Im hoping to shift the direction of Lutz Botanicals. I will continue to grow my favorite specimen plants and propagate from time to time, but the focus will now be on native perennials, vegetable starters, jams and jellies and such.

While I have enjoyed the "rare" plant game, I was always off put by the seemingly random prices given to plants. My heart just isnt in it.

I want to garden and grow things because I want to eat better. I want to know where my food comes from. I want to see more butterflies and bees in my garden. I want to learn more about the landscape around me. I want to teach my daughter to preserve jams and cook. That's what brings me joy.

So we will be a little quiet around here while I reevaluate what we are doing. And I have about 100 strawberries to divide and plant! My hope is to be at local farm markets next season. ❤️
