This little lion card was transformed with a rich brown inner mat and a burl wood frame that highlight the warmth, texture, and strength of the image. The creamy top mat brings out the subtle background while drawing attention to the lion’s delicate facial features and expression.

Our first Makers Market at Frame Gallery last Friday was a lot of fun despite the excessive heat and thunderstorms!

Visitors enjoyed artist demonstrations by Kim Butters, Connie Keetle, and Kathy Solomon, each sharing their unique creative process. Outside, the sidewalk came alive with chalk art, and families tried their luck at our Fishing Game for prizes. Inside, there were hands-on art projects for all ages, plenty of shopping, and lots of friendly faces.

And what better way to celebrate the Fourth of July than with the annual Cake Contest sponsored by the EQB Club? Harriet happily returned for the third year as one of the judges and enjoyed every delicious bite!

Happy 4th of July! 🎆🇺🇸

We are closed on Independence Day so the Frame Gals can celebrate the holiday at all the great festivities that make the 4th so special in Sewanee. Look for Harriet at the Cake Contest. She’s honored to be judging it for the 3rd year in a row!😋🎂🎂🎂

Lendon Noe's "To Sit with a Flower" watercolor workshop was a huge success with a sold-out crowd!

Participants, from beginners to experienced artists, came to learn the ins and outs of watercolor—a medium that many find both beautiful and a bit intimidating. Lendon's relaxed teaching style, combined with years of painting and teaching experience, put everyone at ease and helped each artist build confidence as they developed their own unique approach to painting flowers.

The results were as varied as the artists themselves, and it was exciting to see so many different interpretations emerge throughout the day.

Thank you, Lendon, for sharing your talent, and thank you to everyone who joined us!

What a wonderful weekend at Frame Gallery! At the reception on Friday, we were surrounded by Lendon Noe's stunning floral paintings, enjoyed hearing about the inspiration behind her work and her journey as a professional artist, and wrapped up the weekend with a fantastic watercolor workshop on Saturday.

We are delighted to have Lendon and her beautiful exhibition at Frame Gallery. "To Sit With a Flower" will remain on view through July 25, so there's still plenty of time to experience these remarkable paintings. Stay tuned for photos from the workshop—and for the announcement of Lendon's next watercolor workshop!

The art is on the walls, and we spent the afternoon hanging Lendon Noe's exquisite oil and acrylic paintings for our next exhibition, To Sit With a Flower, opening this Friday at Frame Gallery Gifts & Art from 5:00–6:30 p.m. (Thanks FrameGuy!)

The exhibition will be on view through July 25, and the opening reception is free and open to the public. Enjoy light refreshments and hors d'oeuvres while meeting Lendon and hearing about the inspiration behind her work.
