🎂 Happy Birthday, Bev Tyler 🎂

Today, we celebrate a remarkable historian and cherished friend of the Three Village Historical Society & Museum.

🇺🇸 Beverly C Tyler has been part of TVHS since the Bicentennial Committee was formed in 1974, helping shape the community's celebrations during our nation's Bicentennial in 1976.

More than fifty years later, he continues that work as a dedicated member of the Long Island 250 Commission, ensuring that the stories of our region remain at the heart of America's Semiquincentennial.

📖 Over the years, Bev has served as President of the Board (twice), has been a steadfast Society Historian, authored "The Historian" newsletter for decades, and continues to share his passion through his biweekly History Close at Hand column in the Times Beacon Record.

On Fridays, you'll find him at the Three Village Farmers & Artisans Market, happily talking history, signing books, inspiring children with his tales, regaling guests with travel stories, and welcoming anyone curious about our community's past.

🌊 Whether he's guiding a maritime walking tour at low tide, sharing his expertise on the Culper Spy Ring, uncovering the stories of local families, leading children through Founder's Day, or inspiring audiences through lectures across Long Island, Bev has an extraordinary gift for making history come alive.

But beyond the titles, the books, and the countless volunteer hours, Bev is something even more meaningful to us: an unwavering champion of the Three Village Historical Society, a generous mentor, and a wonderful friend.

💙 Bev, thank you for your decades of service, your endless curiosity, your kindness, and your belief that local history has the power to bring people together. Our community is richer because of you.

Please join us in wishing Bev Tyler a very happy birthday!

💛 thank you for coming 💛

It might sound silly but I really do worry every single week…

😳 What if no one comes?!?!

Have I shared enough on social media?
Is the market in the papers?
Are my graphics beautiful enough to stop the scroll?
Do our vendors get enough business?
Do the guests love the businesses I’ve brought together?
Are there enough options for dinner and places to sit & eat?
Is the little free library restocked?
Is there enough parking? (((Definitely no!)))

😰 Until 3 pm every single Friday I worry - have I done enough to bring you the very best farmers market on Long Island?!?!

What if no one comes???

❤️‍🩹 And every week, you all show up - with your families, your friends, your dogs, your co-workers, your camp kids, your neighbors - and I do not take that lightly or for granted!

🫐 You could spend your Fridays nights anywhere and you choose to spend them with us.

So on behalf of the vendors and the volunteers and the historical society and everyone who puts so much energy into making this market happen… THANK YOU for coming, from the bottom of our hearts

☀️ We can’t wait to see you again on Friday!
