Ok everyone it's about that time when honeybees are swarming. Swarming is how honeybees reproduce a new colony . The queen and a large percentage of worker bees leave their hive and seek a new place to live. When there is a large cluster of bees like in the pictures there are other bees actively looking for somewhere to establish. If you see a honeybee swarm please call me asap. Raw honey will granulate (get sugar like crystals in it and become slightly cloudy) over time. This does not mean the honey has gone bad. Honey does not spoil. To re-liquefy all you need to do is heat the container in a pot of warm water to decrystallize it. Excessive heat can cause the flavors and enzymes to degrade so heating over 110 degrees is not recommended. Crystallization is a natural process that the honey goes through, there is no way to prevent it.

I have one pound squeeze jars that are $8, the glass muth jars with wax dipped corks are $8 (very limited), the 2 oz honey bears $2.50, and the beeswax bars are $1.50. Also I've had several ask me what you can use beeswax for. There are several uses, and I'll post a link that list just a few that are out there. Thanks everyone.
