We will not be opening in April this year. We still hope to open later this year. This handmade and homemade shop originated when a small group of friends realized they had some unique skills and designs to share with others. Now, there are nineteen crafty people who are selling items at the country location. The appeal of Betty's Little House is the local flavor of the handcrafted items. One-of-a
-kind designs include pottery mugs, bowls, plates, and numerous specialty items by Susan. One top seller is the apple baker that comes with a complimentary recipe for a baked apple. Gerald contributes great wood toaster tongs, turntables, book racks, and even games for the kids. Jessica makes beautiful porcelain dolls, and Shauna adds a pretty selection of handmade jewelry. There are wonderful afghans, hats and scarves by Kathleen as well as kitchen items from Gail and Betty. The shop has become a kind of community gathering place for some of the neighbors. This is a store where you can pick up a reasonably priced gift of handwork, stained glass, a nice basket, or a watercolor by Margaret and personalize it with a card by Teresa. Betty's personal reminder: "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."
