It's spooky season y'all! Come see us today from 10a-4p! 👻 👻

10/28/2026

🎃 Join us this Saturday from 11a to 2p to meet local author Rickey Powell and learn about his debut novel, Unit 000. More on Rickey and Unit 000 below!

----

Rickey wrote Unit 000 in honor of his son, Miles, whose courage, love, and enduring spirit forever changed his family's lives. After Miles passed away in June 2026, the book became more than a debut novel - it became a tribute to his memory and a way to ensure that a part of him would live on through every reader who experiences the story. While Unit 000 is a work of fiction, its heart is rooted in a father's love, loss, and the hope that the people we cherish are never truly gone.

When he isn't writing, Rickey enjoys restoring classic trucks, exploring new technology, and spending time with his family in South Carolina. Unit 000 is his debut novel, and he plans to continue writing stories that challenge the imagination, inspire reflection, and remind readers that even in life's darkest moments, love, hope, and memory can endure.

----

After the sudden death of his father, Miles Peterson inherits Peterson's Store-All, a quiet family-owned storage facility in the small town of Longshire, Georgia.
While sorting through his father's belongings, Miles discovers something that shouldn't exist - a hidden storage unit marked 000.

With his best friend Nolan by his side, Miles must uncover the truth behind his father's past, the mysterious Unit 000, and a power that blurs the line between life, death, and time itself.

Unit 000 is a Southern supernatural suspense novel filled with mystery, time travel, unforgettable characters, and impossible choices that will keep readers turning pages until the very end.
