Many of you may wonder if this will impact our very similar AW laws in CA. The short answer is no, for now. Since we have two appellate level courts in direct conflict on rulings of essentially the same law, the good news is that the Supreme Court now will be compelled to hear the case and finally make a judgment. The odds are in our favor, but may take some time to actually be heard. This will hopefully strike down the unconstitutional CA gun laws in place and we regain some of our freedoms. Those of us who actually understand fi****ms and the laws that pertain to them, know that CA AW laws are a joke that only make ignorant people feel good. Laws that disallow an AR type rifle to be sold in original configuration but a R***r Mini-14 to be perfectly legal based on appearance, yet shoot the same cartridge are completely inept.

Cook County and Grant v. Higgins are valid and well-reasoned.”
“The Supreme Court’s recent decision Wolford v. Lopez, where the Court further clarified what constitutes an ‘arm’ for Second Amendment purposes, has already laid the groundwork for resolving these cases favorably and was adopted by the Third Circuit,” he added. “We are optimistic today’s ruling will further bolster a favorable result once we have the opportunity to argue the cases before the Court this fall.”..."
