To all of The Downtown Selma General Store customers we sincerely want to thank you all for the past couple of years. We have really enjoyed meeting all of you and are proud of having been a part of Downtown Selma.

I am now VERY happy to announce that we have sold the business to a local Johnston family-
the Baileys- that are going to keep the Downtown Selma General Store going. Of course, they will make their changes but they plan on keeping most of the items many of you came back for over and over.

I really hope, and I am sure you will, drop in, say hello and support this new family owned and operated business. The Bailey family will be a great addition to Downtown Selma. We wish them the absolute best possible. You may see us in and out the next couple weeks as we plan on supporting and helping them anyway we can.

Again, we cannot say enough how happy and proud we are that the general store will remain.
As I already noted, please stop in and show them what we have bragged about in you--our store customers.
We will miss you all and will always remember.

With a little sadness, I need to inform you all that The Downtown Selma General Store will be closing by February 28th
Of this new year.

We want to sincerely thank you all who have shopped with us. We have made many new friends and loyal customers over the past couple of years
We have enjoyed listening to your stories and especially telling ours. All of you will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Why are we leaving? The main reason is that the opportunity to move to a place we have always hoped to live for many years has presented itself. We will be moving out of state and therefore we must close the store unless it is sold in the next few weeks by chance.
The other reason is the Downtown retail market is
Very different from the shopping center or stand alone storefront market we have always had. It can be a very different market especially for the small business owners.

In closing we cannot thank you all enough. We hope to see you all again over the next 2 months. We will be running some great sales so come grab some bargains.
Several of you have asked if there will be another store where we move to? That is very possible but would be a little later down the road, and of course it would be located out of state if we do. We will have a customer book you can list your email in at the store,and we will notify you of any new store news.
