It has been a busy and fun couple of weeks here at Neff Seeds. Started with another successful Kid's Ag Day on the 10th, hosting 150+ kids! Always interesting to reveal what roots are doing under a corn plant when we prepare for this event. The first bit of wheat got treated just ahead of our time preparing for visitors. More wheat to be treated soon! Call us for your wheat treatment questions. After the Ag Day we have been out and about to see some really exciting Pioneer plots! We have later planted dryland plots that held in and are giving really good looks at new products and some irrigated plots that you are going to want to see!

We have seen some great results with Relax Rx this summer. Roots are shooting down deeper into the soil, less injury on leaves, wider/longer leaves and stalks gaining up to 15% in diameter vs competitive products. Rains have been great to see in our area! They also have kept plants from growing too quick with the cooler weather we've had with it. Most likely we are going to have some tank mixes that are made to do what we can to take care of weeds-in turn that corn plant has to metabolize the chemical you put on, slowing the plant down again. We have finally received some moisture!! Man it is good to see again. We have been waiting for a little moisture to give us a good shot at taking full advantage of what Meltdown can do for our soils including the return of carbon to the soil. Meltdown can be applied yet this fall or even this spring. Start recycling nutrients for next spring and break down residue naturally. Softening residue reduces hair pinning and equipment wear at planting.

We are seeing some real results at this point with BioBoost, Dust+B4 and Terrasym 450+Dust. Above ground plants look pretty similar at this point but dig plants up and you can see the difference with bigger and deeper root systems and beefed up stalks! Look at the nodule difference on the soybeans as well. Keep an eye on this for the years to come!
