Every shining star in the night sky has a remarkable story. From its birth in a cloud of gas and dust to its spectacular final moments, a star's life is shaped by one key factor—its mass.
🌠 Birth
A star begins inside a molecular cloud, where gravity pulls gas and dust together to form a protostar. As the core heats up, nuclear fusion ignites, giving birth to a new main-sequence star.
⭐ The Main Sequence
This is the longest stage of a star's life. Here, it steadily fuses hydrogen into helium, producing the light and heat that can last for millions—or even trillions—of years.
🔴 The Aging Process
Once the hydrogen fuel is exhausted, the star expands into a red giant (or a red supergiant for the most massive stars), marking the beginning of its final chapter.
