Posting on here hoping there is something out there in our budget. After nearly a year our deal fell through and every other building we looked at has sold. We want a building to bring fine retail clothing, kitchen and home decor items and add another great restaurant / brewery to the mix on Ohio. This idea is to bring something Sedalia is missing and after the last nine months of working on this I’m not quite ready to let it go.

We are now allowed to announce our location! We are so excited that we are purchasing the Kay's Bridal Building! In fact our name was created to match the M W on the building since this was the original Montgomery Ward store in Sedalia. We've been doing lots of behind the scenes prep and work should start in May 2022. Also.....how would downtown folks feel about a lunch place? We cannot wait to start this chapter in two things we love, home decor and food! I'll link the restaurant information soon!

Holy Wow! We are super excited to already have 248 followers! I just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves. We are Paul and Michelle Bassett, together we share three adult children (these are Pauls bonus kiddos), one teenage daughter and three adorable grandchildren! We moved to Sedalia in 2013 when Paul accepted a position at the local VA clinic. We both have a work history in law and medicine so this project is a totally new genre for us! We own another local business and are so thankful for the Sedalia community and how welcoming they are to new businesses.

We love the downtown Sedalia community and have been fortunate to see the growth in businesses since we've moved here. We are so excited for this next chapter to unfold, we aren't at liberty to disclose our location at this time but we will update as soon as we are able. This week we created our LLC and obtained our resale tax ID and have been establishing vendor accounts with wholesale furniture and decor companies.

If you have design, cooking or retail experience and are interested in employment in the future we will be hiring as we get closer to opening.
