A lot of process refinement went into this project, excited to see how that accelerates the next one. Some cool features:
- hand-applied radial tiger burst in tangerine,
- custom dyed & laser-cut Wenge hardwood pickguard
- custom laser-cut pickup faces in genuine abalone
- bespoke headstock logo design and application
- neck re-radiused to 12" with gold frets
- graphtec Ratio locking tuners

This project saw a three month delay due to weather 🙂 The nitro just wouldn't stop blushing through most of December/January, my dehumidifier just couldn't keep up. Almost done now.

Love wet sanding. It might be my favorite step. It means the finish layers survived QC enough to exit the spray booth, and that a beautiful mirror finish is coming. This project has been sooooo satisfying. Artistry, technology, engineering, craft, and all that goes into bridging guitar making traditions that span centuries. What a gift ❤️

A six digit serial starting with a zero… The oldest Les Paul Ive worked on, what a treat! 1960! Replacing selct frets, leveling and re crowning, so nice. Cant wait to play test it!
