Collecting plaques in Zephyrhills again !!
It’s been a while since I was collecting them at the FS meets back in the early 90’s but this one is for FLCPA Judge if the year for 2025. Presentation was at the league meet in December. Thanks to everyone involved in keeping this discipline safe and educating the next generations.

Most of my friends are old enough to know Jerry Bird themselves but the younger generation of jumpers have no clue who he is. Well, he was one of the most influential mentors in my career, and he is an amazing story teller. There are more stories than one book can hold, but this selection is available now………

JYRO Mandatory Service Bulletin

Important Safety Update: Safire 3 Service Bulletin Issued

Subject: Safire 3 Brake Line Configuration Modification And Mandatory Inspection

Below is a link to a mandatory Service Bulletin issued by JYRO for a new mandatory inspection affecting certain Safire 3 canopies.

After updates were made to brake line configurations in 2018, JYRO identified that some canopies may still have the incorrect configuration—particularly those built using linemaps issued between 10 September and 27 November 2024. This update concerns the openings of smaller-sized canopies (169sqft and below) manufactured between February 2016 and February 2018.

As a result, JYRO are requesting immediate inspections to:

• Verify the brake tab configuration

• Ensure the correct lineset is installed

The Bulletin is being distributed to ensure affected canopies are identified, inspected and if necessary, corrected.
