Out testing the front axle today. I like the servo/battery location better than I thought I would. The steering is very strong and the horn well protected.

Okay, seems like there’s plenty of interest on the f2seven5 axle.

I don’t want to get ahead of myself so I will do a small preorder, 8-10 axles. It will open Monday morning.

This last preorder went so well and I am starting to get things out.

Would people be interested in a preorder for the 2.75:1 rear Capra width axle and the mini chassis (yet to be named)?

I will do a video on the axle this weekend. It’s a little involved as far as getting parts together and assembling. I could offer it and a partial kit ($110) and assembled kit ($325). The axle also requires raising the front axle gearing and transmission about 36%. So about 4 to 5 teeth on the pinion, or smaller spur.

I recommend around 38% OD. With Capra axles 45% felt comfortable but something with moving more reduction into the axle and reducing torque twist requires less overall OD.

Mini chassis (portal only) would include: chassis, transmission and links. ($290)

Another mini wrapping up soon. Would people be interested in this chassis? Similar to the Animas it has a molded in portal trans and is portal axle specific.
It's designed for my mini axles but I'm sure others would work. Uses standard 80mm shocks.

I have a couple test days on the 2.75:1 portal rear axle now (Capra is 1.9:1) and it's pretty cool. It took a lot of calculating (thanks to JJ, Nabil, Tanis and Boggs) to figure out the front axle and transmission gearing to get the correct ratios and it's not in any gear calculators. I am running 12/23 portl gears and 30/8 r&p (stock gearing) in the front with 44% OD. Which puts the axles about 36% lower geared than before. The lack of torque twist is interesting to say the least.
