Thanks for the visit TAKARA Design and friends.

I'm trying to get my green thumb ready for this Christianson's Nursery event this weekend and struck by all the vegetal tones in the antiques.

Getting excited for this! Christianson's Nursery is a legendary family business and garden, nursery, and greenhouse destination in Washington. Hosted by the incredible team at Primrose, we can't wait to join the lineup and we've got 3 tents to fill, antiques amis, you know we can load up! Primrose Antiques & Gifts

I'm bringing garden, but not just, and Seattle friends don't worry, this shipment has pieces set aside for all events, so if you're looking forward to the Seattle Pop-Up, we will have reveals just for you 💕

+ Location: Christianson's Nursery in Mount Vernon
+ Dates: July 11&12, but there's a first pick Friday evening event, tix available in store or by phone 3604463821- see details on Christianson's website. Proceeds go to restoring the Schoolhouse on this incredible property.
+ Timing: Saturday is 10-5 and Sunday is 10-3

Showroom stories... this was a special one. I met Brian and Paula of Paula Odell at the last pop-up, and connected with them over the antiques and, of course, their beautiful poodles George and Presley GeorgeandPresley .

They were looking for a table, and we communicated while I was shopping in France, and got to know them both. They picked out one painting together while I was sourcing and Brian asked me to save a second painting for Paula as a surprise.

Fast forward to last week, everything arrived in the showroom and they made the trip over the mountains from Wenatchee to pick up the art and see some tables and visit the Olympic Peninsula. They showed up with the most beautiful and delicious box of Rainier Cherries I've ever seen, and we had a wonderful moment together.

When Paula discovered the painting that Brian had gifted her secretly, with a little note attached, there was such joy and delight, even tears, in a way I truly believe is specific to art finding its person (and someone knowing another like that).

What a beautiful day, and thank you Paula and Brian (and the boys!) for making the journey and giving me so much inspiration. They even found the table!

It's really not about the antiques, it's how we connect through them. Again and again.

Tomorrow we will be back at Seattle Design Center with Lucie's Round-Up for 1 day only with a special drop of new arrivals. Category? A selection I could fit in my car, so small stools and furniture, art, some plates and beautiful pots. Think a sampler of French country brocante... these pieces are fresh off the container from Normandy!

Come say hi! The day will be filled with new arrivals and collaborators. Hope to see you there!

PS I won't be able to send previews as I'm on the road today, but swing by to see some goodies if you've got time tomorrow. We will be there from 10am to 5pm.

Our Summer and Fall has gone from, "I hope the container arrives soon..." to, "It's here, there's more than ever, and the calendar is filling up!".

Having a dedicated space for arriving antiques is so satisfying. Seeing everything together, having an office in the same space as the antiques, being able to receive clients by appointment... It's the little step that feels BIG mentally, and I'm a strong believer that space creates space (for new ideas, to see something afresh, to create and collaborate).

Also, it's a good practice in the idea of "always in progress," and celebrating the parameters we have in their capacity and imperfections. Excited to meet some clients here this week!

Also, wondering about what the next 3 months hold? I'll post a calendar of events and ways to shop or source here on IG in the next few days and pun it, but feel free to DM for private appointments on the Olympic Peninsula. I'll try to get back to you quickly 💌
