the name of my store is a tribute to the Australian band, the Church who have been an inspiration to me over many years. As for myself, I am an artist and collector of many things, including vintage Asian pieces from the 1950's, Catholic and Buddhist artifacts, unusual tiki and voodoo curios, plus mechanical clockworks, tarot cards and strange winged relics. y, and over the years I have branched out into many art forms including painting, multimedia, graphic art and jewelry making. I also studied design when I lived in Sydney, Australia. My goal as an artist is to try and create something beautiful from commonplace things in our every-day life. I have a passion for history and the allure of the past. From the ornate details of Victorian Gothic and Medieval architecture to the ‘kitcsh’ and swooping curves and space age design of Raygun Gothic and Googie/Populuxe along with the sleek, horizontal lines of Streamline Moderne. It all makes my eyes happy!! I adore and collect vintage clothing, jewelry and accessories! Everything from vintage polynesian dresses to gauzy gypsy skirts. I love everything from lace and velvet batcave, goth and steampunk styles to old western shirts and worn-out cowboy boots. Many of these items will make it into my etsy shop for your perusal.
