There is not much one can do after being scammed or otherwise taken advantage of, but in an effort to help other small businesses avoid traps from predatory companies, I wanted to call out my latest experience with Paid House Media. Our first few calls had me excited to work with them and I even checked a couple references (only one responded and sang their praises) so I saw some people had a really good experience with them. My experience was absolutely atrocious. I asked for two things: a landing page, and to optimize my ads. They never built me a landing page and my ads performance went down immediately. After a week of them talking to me like a nuisance, I expressed my disappointment. They offered my 5 free creatives and to right the ship on the landing page issue. A week later they never delivered any additional creatives and they still did not build a landing page. Instead they built a product page that they applied site wide to all my products with links that didn't work. They blamed me for not telling them that the links were supposed to work btw. I had to spend a weekend fixing the code they poorly built across my website.
After two weeks of insane frustration, I asked for a partial refund even though I felt entitled to a full refund since they delivered nothing I asked of them. They denied me any sort of refund and kept my $4,000 feeling they did nothing wrong despite never delivering on anything I bought for $4k.
I take the blame of my naivete, trusting a no name company that is not on trust pilot at least. And not creating more protection for myself instead of shelling out $4,000 upfront with no guarantees on anything. Of course I was stupid for that.
This is just all I can do to warn any other small business to stay as far away as possible from paid house media.
