🥞: I’m a creature of habit. I’ve been asked before about what I eat everyday. At the time when I worked nights, oatmeal was hands-down my favorite thing to eat. But as the pandemic continued, I realized I needed to change my breakfast game up just a little to pretend that I was out traveling and exploring new cuisines.

My new go-to breakfast? Crispy scallion pancakes (shou zhua bing #手抓饼). But with a twist. I make them into tacos and fill them with layers of yummy savory pork floss, gooey egg, micro greens, and lots and lots of chili oil.

I introduced my parents to this creation when I was home and to my surprise, they were genuinely impressed. *pats self on back*

The trick? To have a super crispy and flakey scallion pancake with a lot of layers to give you that perfect crunch and flavor when you take that first bite. Anything else is just not the same.

Drenched in so much garlic buttttta & so good!

Missing “Giovannis Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp” a whole lot these days! Here’s our spin on the world famous Garlic Shrimp! The key is low & slow, and to poach garlic to soften. Avoid high heat and burning, as this will make the garlic crisp & bitter.

- Size 13/15 White Prawns (split & shell on)
- 1/4 cup of minced garlic
- 1 stick of butter (Irish Butter or Land O’Lakes)
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1.5 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1.5 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp salt OR as desired
- Voracious Spices Habanero Chili Blend (as desired)
- Squeeze of lemon juice as desired

Serve over calrose rice, with exttaaaa garlic butter & ENJOY 😉

VM Papaya Salad + “Mekong Sauce” = the perfect duo!

The Mekong Sauce is a tasty marinade which brought out a very nice savory flavor to balance out the richness of the papaya salad. We added a bit of dark soy sauce just for some color.

Deep Fried Crab Claws! YES PLEASE 😋

Are you obsessed with deep fried crab claw balls at nice Chinese dim sum dinner/brunch? look no further here are the ingredients:)

Ingredients

1/2 lbs shrimps minced
1LBS crab meat minced
1tbs chicken bouillon
1tbs white pepper
1tbs sesame oil
1 egg
2 cups panko crust

Once everything is chopped and minced all together, you will need to use a 1/4 cup to evenly grab the amount of filling to shape them up into a ball and make a little hole to insert your crab meat with the claw sticking out.

Dip each ball into a bowl of Whisked eggs for the coating and then set them into the bowl of Panko and use your hands to sprinkle them evenly do not grab them too hard.

Mold it all together until you cover the hardshell so that it won’t fall apart during the deep frying. Make sure you are rotating them so that they come out evenly coated. They should be fried for five minutes each.

Set them on a cooling rack Tray and serve with your soy sauce and hot chili oil.
