This Sunday, June 21, Deschampsia will be vending at Summer Bonsai Solstice at Pacific Bonsai Museum in Federal Way.

It’s an evening gathering centered on bonsai, forest bathing, sound bathing, gentle movement, yoga, tea, food, and a wellness marketplace.

We’ll be there with our plant-to-bottle skincare, hydrosols, balms, botanical body oils, and natural perfumes.

Come walk through the museum in the evening air, slow down among living trees, and visit us at the marketplace.

First real forage of the season along the Snohomish River 🌿

Too early for fir tips—but the branches are rich and aromatic, perfect for distilling hydrosol and essential oil. Cottonwood buds are just right… resinous, sticky, and impossible to forget once it coats your hands.

Left with sap-covered fingers, full baskets, and that deep sense that spring has officially begun.

And along the trail… trillium in bloom. A quiet reminder to slow down and notice what’s unfolding.

After more than a year of making, testing, and selling this Eye Serum in person, I’ve released a refined version for wider availability.

It’s a lightweight, anhydrous botanical roll-on made for the under-eye, where less tends to work better. Slow-infused chamomile, calendula, rose, and green tea — finished with a very low-dose blend of rose geranium and our own in-house distilled frankincense.
