That’s a wrap on our 2026 Everest Season! Some parting words from our team’s dear Sirdar (expedition manager), Ngima Tenzing Sherpa:

“We are back safe at Basecamp, packing up the gear, and getting ready to head home with full hearts.

“A massive thank you to our hardworking Sherpa teams, and our C2 and Basecamp kitchen crews—your dedication kept us moving and fed, even with this season’s route delays.

“To our amazing clients, thank you for putting your trust, safety, and dreams in our hands. Your resilience, patience, and determination throughout the challenges of this climb inspired us every single day. It has been an absolute honor to guide you and share these mountains with you.

“Heartfelt gratitude to Mother Goddess Miyolongsungma for keeping our team safe throughout this journey. – Ngima Tenzing Sherpa”

See you next year!

Let’s talk about Ben Jones 👏

He’d never say this himself, but is THE GUY when it comes to climbing big objectives. He spends his year climbing in the world’s highest places, and has spent 15 seasons in the Everest region. Ben’s not just invested in getting teams to the top, but in building momentum and growth for his climbers.

But don’t let his resume intimidate you - Ben is down to earth, patient, and dependable. He’s a car guy, he spends expedition free-time orchestrating co****le tournaments and snapping photos, and he’s so humble that if he had a stronger cell-connection… well, we’d be in trouble. In his luggage for Everest this year? Sun chips and switchboards so that he could build a new electricity system at basecamp. What a legend.

And where is he now? Somewhere around 26,000 ft up on Mount Everest - wish him luck!

As our team moves up high on their final approach to Everest’s summit, it’s an apt time to spotlight some of the faces who make big expeditions like this possible.

From the Nepalese climbers out front setting fixed lines on the upper mountain, to the icefall docs tirelessly engineering a route through the challenging Khumbu icefall, to every member of our local crew who’s hard work and expertise make our operation run smoothly and keep our spirits high, we thank you!

Guide snaps headshots of our local team each year. Find them & more updates on our cybercast! 📡

The acclimatization dance continues! Ben and team are currently staged at Camp 2 (21,500 ft). They’ll hop up to Camp 3 tomorrow then descend to Basecamp, completing their final dress rehearsal before showtime!

Dispatch from Ben: “Yesterday we reached Camp 2 under perfect conditions and zero crowds. Usually there can be a bit of a technical section leaving Camp 1 heading to Camp 2 but not this year, it is actually a pretty easy hike out of C1 into the Western CWM. Memories can fade but I feel like mine is pretty good, and I can’t remember the icefall and route to C2 ever in better condition in the last 15 years.

“The team made good time. It can be very hot sometimes in the CWM but we were blessed with a slight breeze to keep the heat down. After a long rest we woke to beautiful clear skies at C2, and after breakfast we went on a short hike towards the base of the Lhotse face. Another day of no crowds and perfect weather.

“We also heard the great news that the fixing team made it to the summit of Everest this morning and we are thankful for all of their hard work in making this happen to open up the route for teams to start summiting! Things are going well here!”
