Technically this is a penta-pus, as his fat little legs are too fat for his body. But he is friendly and nubby!

This weekend is pretty full already! I've been commissioned to make an adorable fox hood/cowl (maybe more than one!) and this weekend I finished up some experimental hats I've been working on. If there's any more time, it's Octopus O'Clock until I run out of my cotton Cascade Paints yarn!

One day I want to sit down with my hooks and "standard" sizes of yarn (fi*****ng, DK, worsted, bulky, and super bulky) and block out some swatches of crochet stitches with different hooks. I've decided I can't trust a pattern to let me know just how big/small my object will be based on their recommendations. Either I crochet really tight, or the pattern writers are using different definitions of their yarn weights.
