Huge haul of vintage garage goodies! This estate sale was packed with tools and oil cans. But the best snag? A copper rooster weathervane!! You can sort of see it in this photo. 😍

A little treasure trail from this week ✨ Started at the Bins and struck gold with that vintage coffee tin and a bundle of well-loved brushes (yes, one’s horsehair… swoon). I almost called it a day after that, but an estate sale in Mt. Baker (one of my favorite neighborhoods) was whispering my name—and I’m glad I listened.

Let’s just say… copper dreams and farmhouse finds for days. 🪶🪵☕️

Let’s have a quick chat about the “vintage-inspired” wave hitting big box stores 👀

You’ve probably seen it… faux brass sailboats, oval frames, and all the nostalgic pieces that look almost like the real thing. They’re everywhere right now—and for good reason. These designs have been loved for decades (trust me, I sell the originals all the time 😉).

But here’s the thing: nothing quite compares to authentic vintage.

Pieces made before the 1970s were crafted with a level of quality and attention that’s hard to replicate today. Real materials, real patina, real history. The kind of character you just can’t mass-produce.

And when you choose vintage, you’re doing more than decorating—you’re supporting small businesses (hi, it’s me 🙋‍♀️) and giving existing pieces a second life. Less waste, more story.

So yes, the replicas are having a moment…but the originals? They’re timeless ✨

(The first two photos are the replicas that can be found at Pottery Barn and Walmart. The others are authentic vintage items I have sold recently.)

I’ll be a vendor at this weekend! I have so many vintage goodies! As usual, lots of great copper pieces. And I’ll be leaning into the camping/outdoors theme with lots of granite ware, lanterns, cast iron and much more!

Sometimes it’s all about timing!! I only had 15-20 minutes to spend at Goodwill and they rolled this out while I was there. I couldn’t grab this fast enough!!

Online auctions are my favorite kind of treasure hunt—especially when I’m chasing those higher-end gems. And every now and then, those picker sale admission fees? Worth every single penny.

This latest pickup did not come to play. The house was absolutely bursting with seasonal decor (cute, but not exactly my lane)… so naturally, I rolled up my sleeves and got to digging. And guess what? Jackpot.

Tucked away in a basement bag like it didn’t know its own worth… this STUNNING oil painting just waiting for me to rescue it. Some people scroll—I excavate. 😉

I snagged a few other goodies too, but I’ll keep you in suspense for now…

Work in progress! If you haven't noticed, I'm slowly switching out some of my decor items in my living room. This little corner used to have some framed photos, but I saw this incredible oil painting at an auction and just had to get it (and no, it wasn't cheap!). Since hanging it up months ago, I've been on the lookout for the perfect additions. Yesterday, I stumbled upon this charming bust at an antique mall, initially planning to resell. But it fits perfectly in this space!

For me, having a space that's not quite perfect is okay if it means waiting for that perfect piece to turn up. The thrill of the hunt is part of the fun. Patience is definitely key.

Today’s Goodwill Bins find! This beautiful Late 19th or Early 20th Century hand painted toleware metal tray is even better in person! The orange colors are so me! I might just have to keep this one. 😉
