In life you have to work with what you’ve got until you can manage to get what you want. For the time being that means a colonial mirror that I painted and a 80’s tile fireplace, and that’s okay. I’m happy with how it turned out. 🎄🎄🎄

This year’s Christmas decor has been a celebration of the bounty of nature and our love of Washington. I foraged pine and cypress 🌲 from my own yard, and believe me there’s plenty more where that came from.

Then I dried 🍊oranges and sanitized my foraged pine cones, also from my yard. I used a grapevine wreath that my mom made for me by pulling it off of her house, she’s the real MVP. Then made bundles and tied them together for the garland.

The house smells amazing and the only thing I bought was oranges, for a total of $12. Plus, everything’s environmentally friendly and I’ll reuse the floral wire on my next project. I personally consider that a great success! Hope you’re having a happy holidays!! 🎄(In a few more days we’ll be back in Leavenworth!)

I’m very proud to say Mr. Gall has accepted a promotion in the great state of Washington! We were flown out there last week and we absolutely fell in love. It’s the type of place that brands your soul. 🌲It’s going to be a very quick transition, as his first day is July 8th. If we aren’t able to say goodbye to you in person, just know that Texas will always be our home thanks to so many of you. I can’t lie I’ve been an emotional wreck of excitement, and sadness. Leaving our families, leaving our amazing friends, and everything we’re familiar with is going to be so so hard, but don’t worry we’ll be back to visit every time we get a chance! Additionally, we plan to really step up our, “y’all’s and bless your little hearts,” so that there is no confusion. We are Texans. 💙💙💙
