The criminally incompetent movers attempted murder on this beauty 2 years ago: a huge antique Steuben aurene glass vase. It's well worth saving, so I did, albeit somewhat belately, with some JB Weld Epoxy.

The repair job is probably as close to perfect as I could have hoped for, and I might follow up with some kintsugi-style patching of the cracks, but I'm pleased to see that even though a huge piece was shorn off of one side, and the other side has a fissure that runs the full length of the vase (literally), it still somehow has an undamaged face for display.

Pardon me while I brag about this everywhere.

Today I found a sideboard that was finished while Alexander Hamilton was still a toddler (really!). It was so affordable as to make me feel like I stole it, and now it lives in my house.

Who do you know that is heavily tattooed on their upper body and would like to be a model/portfolio subject for a designer fashion piece?

I'm only going to be able to do like two or three of these, so I will have to be very picky about who I work with. The chosen ones will get some very cool wearable art in exchange for their time/participation.

Oh, yes. Yes, yes, yes. 🤩🤩🤩

The simplest repair job wasn't *actually* the simplest: only due to the fact that an inline switch had to be installed on the braided, cloth covered cord (complete with antique style A/C wall connector!) that was used to repair this antique Parisian lamp featuring bronze figural fauns by Emile Joseph Carlier. This piece is next level and it even has its original art deco shade! This will probably be the best find of the year, but stay tuned for some very awesome runners-up soon to come!

Sold a glorious and very fine antique Penannular Scottish brooch this week that had been in the collection for a few years.

In celebration, here's a photo of another very fine piece in the collection: this brooch features a crescent moon and six pointed star fit with a wide variety of Scottish agates crowned by a central six carat high clarity citrine with beautiful color saturation. This amazing piece can be worn on the apron of a kilt or to pin a fly plaid, or just as a pendant. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💖

We're in the middle of working on what is probably the easiest lamp repair that we'll ever do.

This piece was yet another lucky find. It's a quick disassembly to expose the innards and examine what kind of replacement cord we will need. Various aspects of the assembly validate our suspicion that what we've got is a rare and valuable antique (pre-1928).

Stay tuned when we get this put back together - it's gonna be gorgeous!

Check out this incredible set of 4 near-antique Aynsley teacups in the hand-painted, totally over-the-top "ROYALTY Deco" pattern! (Gold on cobalt ground).

Made in 1934-1939, these cup/saucer sets are difficult to find in condition this good, even just as singles. Here's an opportunity to get a beautiful set of 4 with the option to expand it to 6!
