We went to the Xaló flea market yesterday in Jalon. I found these hand tools I knew would be great for shaping and burnishing my ceramic work. They are antiques from France. Two are brass and two are steel. I am privileged to use these and will covet them fondly. This is the first hollow formed animal I’ve made and I am still not sure if I will leave it undecorated or not and I’m struggling to add a mane. What do you suggest?

Mended my favorite cashmere sweater last month. I like it even more now. Just a simple woven pattern with som scrap wool yarn. Makes me happy.

This is Oliver and his favorite blanket. He likes to chew big holes in it when I’m not looking. Cheeky little sod. I came home today and he didn’t meet me at the door with his big brother like he normally does. He had gotten stuck in the hole like he was wearing a skirt. Funny and super scary simultaneously. After a lot of guilty cookies and snuggles, we both spent the afternoon slowstitching the big hole shut. There are more holes to be repaired and I’m looking forward to the Weiner snuggles while I stitch.

This sweet leather bag is going to stay unfinished for a while. I broke my hand while putting up windows in my school bus (day job). I’m going to miss my school bus kiddos and sewing. I’m expecting a fair amount of depression to seep in but for now.....Percocet.
