We're kicking off our first with an incredibly inspiring woman, Helen Gurley Brown.
Known as the original S*x in the City girl, Helen was the first female editor-in-chief of magazine. She took over in 1965, and at that time she was a radical. She wrote a best-selling book entitled "S*x and the Single Girl" (1962), which laid bare her idea of what a fun and fearless woman should be. Her advice to women was simple.... say yes to s*x. She took her philosophy that women should use their looks, s*xuality, careers, etc. as currency for upward mobility. Her ideas seemed outlandish in her time, (women's lib wasn't a thing yet), but she was undaunted in her mission to encourage women to be their boldest selves. And this is why she is our .
