It with a heavy heart that I have decided to put my ETSY store back on Vacation Mode. I came back from vacation with a pinched sciatica and I am barely able to walk a few steps without excrusiating pain down my leg. I will rest hard to get better sooner than later so that I can reopen my store.

We are back open after an amazing vacation stuck in a cabin for 3 days with 5 siblings.

There was cake for my dad's 80th birthday, oysters, snow, sleet, wind, outside chimney fire's, tons of food, karaokie, memories, and roasting of the parental figure.

The first burn is critical to prevent candle tunneling. Wax has memory, and the first burn tends to set the radius of the melt. If you create a tunnel on the first burn, the next time you light the candle, it will melt the wax in the tunnel first, making it deeper and continuing to leave unmelted wax around the edges.

What to do if a candle starts tunneling?

Use Aluminum Foil
Take some aluminum foil and wrap it around the outside edge of the candle. The trick here is to make sure the foil reaches over the tunneled wax. You'll also want to keep an open center so the flame can continue to burn as usual.
