Join myself and June 8th for furry 5k.
Seattle Animal Shelter was a vital component in assisting me when I stumbled upon Gus (fka Tucker)abandoned in a downtown parking garage last summer, yall know the story. They gave him a place to land and care while they looked for his previous family and then allowed us to foster him while they searched.
My previous dogs were both rescue pups and that is forever the route I believe in taking when adding an animal to your family, however I am not sure honestly I would have thought of adopting a bully breed. But yall to say I am smitten with this dog and this breed is beyond. His heart is huge, he is so loving, so chill, so snuggly, such a sun lover, such a people lover, so smart, so willing to listen and learn. Do we still have work to do? Duh. Who doesn’t? We are a happy family going through life together and I couldn’t be more grateful. (I hope he likes me as much as I love him 🤣)
We did an test and dna results show he is 100% that American Bully.
We also have enrolled him in classes and could not be happier with their trainers and the community there.
So go adopt a dog. And come walk or run with me June 8th to support the work that Seattle Animal Shelter does for our community.
xoxo,
Lisa
