Classes are back 🤍

It’s been a minute, and I’m really excited to be teaching again.
We’re starting with berry bowls, just in time for farmers market season. We’ll be pinching and playing with texture to create a one of a kind bowl (with or without holes)

Come make something with your hands and spend a couple hours in a space I love in West Seattle.

No experience needed.

I did some more color tests on my favorite base glaze (Batch 2).
Loving these results and so excited to get some of them mixed up into larger batches to start testing on pieces.
Which would you all like to see on larger pieces?

These will have to be compared and make sure they play nicely with other favorites from earlier testing (BUTTER, DENIM, TOAST).

More than half way through January and I’ve made a tiny dent in my list of some of the things I wanted to make or work on this year. These are some work in progress pics of a few of them. Nesting pieces, some whimsical decoration, Judaica prototypes, a paint palette, and new clay bodies. It takes lots of experimentation to get to a final piece. Sharing the pieces that may or may not turn out to be loves but it’s all part of the process.

A handful are available on my site, see which one might speak to you 🫶🏼

I can’t believe it but this Thursday, December 14th is my last day working in our beautiful pop-up shop “UPSTAIRS” . The shop is still open until Dec. 23rd, but if you wanted to pop in to see it while I’m there, this is your friendly reminder that Thursday is my last day in the shop! Hours are 10am-4pm.

If you haven’t had a chance to pop down yet it is definitely worth it. The art from is even more dynamic in person and if you can’t commit to a painting at the moment, she has the most adorable minis and ornaments. The oils from are honestly addictive. When I’m working in the shop, I just stop and smell them about 100 times a day. And of course Jamie’s hats! These hats are classics and the quality is amazing. Tons of incredibly personal gift ideas ✨

I have loved being back Downtown for a few weeks, huge thank you to for making it all possible and all the work that they are doing to revitalize Downtown, Seattle.

Finally taking an oil painting class. I’ve been wanting to try oils forever, both my grandmothers painted with oils. I have played around with acrylics but I am always wishing the color was richer and more saturated so I’m thrilled to finally be doing this. Also I got to use my handbuilt ceramic palette for the first time.

I have a thing for baked goods on a hand made plate 🙃

Mines gotta have sea salt & quality chocolate.

I’ve tried a lot in the 2 years that I’ve been here and so far my faves are & & baking at home

Realized I had an absurd amount of these photos on my camera roll when trying to clean up my camera roll (impossible task) but was fun to see all of these 😂

Glaze tests are so much fun. The combinations are truly endless, it’s where chemistry, art, and a bit of note keeping truly come together.
Some of the best ceramic advice I ever got was from when I took his dinnerware workshop. We were really encouraged to think of glaze first before diving into making a piece. Starting with test tiles can transform how you approach your work. I can’t say I always exercise that much restraint but it’s a practice that I am incorporating more and more and I’m seeing a difference in my work.

These tests should be ready next week, there is a mix of slip, underglaze, commercial glaze, and glazes available at my studio. I incorporated a variety of textures on the tiles so results should be interesting and hopefully beautiful.
