Every year I hear about the anniversary of 9/11. For myself this is not an anniversary. Anniversaries are to be celebrated. This day is not a celebration, it is a day to remember.
Remember the 246 people taking a morning flight. A day to remember 2,606 people that went to work in the morning. A day to remember the 343 firefighters. A day to remember 60 police officers. A day to remember 8 paramedics. Remember that they didn’t make it through this day. A day to remember that the times shown in the photo would never be forgotten after Sept 11, 2001.
Please don’t refer to this as a celebration but rather a day of remembrance. Use this day to reflect on this horrible event and those that were directly impacted above and indirectly impacted such as the families of those above, the military, neighbors both within and outside the country, our friends our family, you and I. Take that extra moment that you have now and enjoy that with the ones you love.
