A complete setup includes -
New strings, checks and adjustments (if needed) on the following; Truss Rod, Nut Slots, String Height, Pickup Height, Intonation, Tuners and All Hardware, Frets and All Electronics. Conditioning and cleaning your fretboard. I also check, and list, if there’s anything else that might need to be addressed with your instrument now or in the near future. From inlays, right down to string changes, every replacement part, install, adjustment, or repair, is measured digitally and meticulously, and will be within *very* precise tolerances.
- My top concern is that you walk away happy with your instrument and the personal service you’ve received, and I will take the extra steps to try and make sure that happens
- If you go home and decide you don’t like your new setup, bring it back within 30 days and I’ll set it up again until you’re stoked with it, free
- Gig this weekend? Rush service available on most setups (upon request & +25%)
- Following any service, if you like, I have a comfy little playing area with a few pedals and a couple attenuated tube amps, so you can see if your new setup requires any fine ‘tuning’, before I kick you out
- Whenever possible, I do on the spot diagnosis and up-front quotes (approximately how long I’ll have your instrument & how much it will cost)
- Socially Distanced Outdoor Covered Pick up and Drop-off Area (if desired)
- Video Call Troubleshooting & Diagnosing Available in Some Cases
- The ‘Luthier’s Lair’ is Located at 4700 35th Ave South and S. in Seattle, just two blocks East of the Columbia City light rail station
Like a lot of people now, I am working from home. If for *any* reason at all, you are uncomfortable with that, I have a covered garage/workshop at the same address we can meet in instead of my apartment. It’s located outside, in very plain sight, on 35th Ave South, about 25 feet from Alaska Way South, with no obstructions to the view. It’s a strange time right now, so I understand being cautious, and your comfort is paramount to me. Just let me know if you have any kind of special requests and I will do everything I can to accommodate. I repair almost anything from Gibson, Harmony, Fender, Martin, Gretsch, Taylor, Silvertone, Airline, Tokai, Ibanez, Kramer, ESP, you name it, I’ll probably repair it! If during a repair something unexpected turns up, I don’t make assumptions, I stop and call you to discuss the options before taking any further action.
⦿ Anything standard (setup’s, fretwork, etc), I charge the rates listed above.
⦿ Anything custom, I charge by the hour @$65. Sean - (206)-291-3303 *text, email, or call*

If I missed anything, message or call me any questions! I can probably work within your budget, so let’s get you fixed up!
*Please Note: My pickup winder is down for a motor replacement, so I’m not re-winding pups at the moment. However, it will be back in service very soon! As for my repair methodology; I use all the ‘tried and true’ methods for repairs, because they work! However, I’m also a huge fan of innovation, and right next to my chisels and hand planes, I have the best of the new specialty luthier tools and gadgets from the places like Luthier's Mercantile, Stewart MacDonald (StewMac), Philadelphia Luthier’s Supply, ALL-PARTS, and many other small independent workshops, which make repairs and adjustments that much more accurate and precise these days. In addition to the indoor workshop, I also have a garage workshop onsite so I'm able to make custom tools, jigs, clamps, parts, etc when I need them.
