We're looking for more quick service kitchens to join our brand! Scranton Public is located on the 2nd floor of The Marketplace at Steamtown. We are open daily with 7 eateries to choose from. Each month we also host a pop-up market, each varying with 30 local vendors. These events are mid-month on a Saturday from 12-5. Please follow our page for updates.

Something worth celebrating about this city on a Sunday. πŸ–€

Scranton was built by people who came from everywhere. Wave after wave of immigrants who arrived for the coal and the steel and ended up building something that lasted β€” their churches, their food, their traditions, their neighborhoods woven into the fabric of this city in ways you can still feel today.

And Scranton keeps growing. Keeps changing. Keeps welcoming new voices and new stories into the mix.

At Scranton Fringe, we believe that richness deserves a stage. All of it. It's why we work year round β€” and why every October we throw open the doors to the Fringe Festival and celebrate everything this community has to offer.

The sign outside Crunch at The Marketplace at Steamtown is a prop from The Office β€” fictional Scranton. But "Embracing Our People, Our Traditions & Our Future"? That part is very, very real. πŸ–€

Looking for something different to do this Saturday?

Travel behind our historic diesel Nickel Plate Road No. 514 locomotive on the first excursion of the 2026 season, a round-trip rail journey to the Spring Marketplace in Carbondale.

Ride through the Lackawanna Valley before arriving in downtown Carbondale, where Carbondale Public Library hosts a community marketplace featuring local vendors, handmade crafts, seasonal goods and food.

Guests will have time to explore a walkable outdoor market with artisan booths, community organizations and locally made products.

With a sunny forecast and a high near 77 degrees, it is shaping up to be a great day to be out along the line and in Carbondale.

The excursion departs at 10 a.m. May 16.
