I didn’t plan for this one to feel Valentine-y… but here we are, so I thought she deserved a moment.

She’s soft in some places, bold in others. A little exposed. A little guarded. Honestly ... same.

Excited to be included in the Berks County Art Alliance member show this Sunday.

I’m counting down the days until my Arches oil paper sheets, Gamblin paints, and RF drawing oils arrive. (Patience is not a strong suit of mine ...) Diving into a new painting feels like the perfect way to start this year with renewed energy and big dreams!

Palette #20 takes it by a single vote over #82. That was close! Thank you so much to everyone who weighed in. I loved seeing all your picks and opinions.

This palette is actually a really old one from when I first started painting. I think these are the colors I used back then, but I can’t be 100% sure. Either way, they’re going to look a little different going down since the paintings already have a few layers and colors happening underneath.

So we’ll see how this goes 😅

Question for you: should I try this palette starting on a white background instead?
