I compared our Tall in Motion Active Dress to other options available for tall women. Here is the verdict. 👀

❌ Gap Tall Athletic Dress - Looks okay from the outside but the rise is too short and the built in shorts ride up all day. This is a feeling tall women know too well- ok from the outside, uncomfortable on the inside, silent torture!

❌ Amazon “Tall Friendly” Dress - Not even close. Tall friendly was a generous description.

Let’s discuss something the fashion industry does not want to admit.

Tall women have been an afterthought in fashion for decades. Not because we are hard to design for. Not because the market is too small. But because nobody in the room asked the right questions when the clothes were being made.

This is my take on why that needs to change and why it already is.

I have spent years in this industry as a tall woman, a consumer, and now a founder. And what I know to be true is this. The problem was never our bodies. The problem was a system that was never built with us in mind.

Adding length to a standard size is not tall fashion. Designing from the ground up with a tall body at the center of every decision is. There is a significant difference between the two and tall women feel that difference every single time they get dressed.

We are not a niche. We are not an afterthought. We are a community of women who have been patient long enough and are finally demanding better.

And the brands that understand that? They are the ones we are going to be loyal to for life.

This is why I built Liv Tall. Not to accommodate tall women within an existing system but to build something entirely new with tall women at the very center of it. 🤍

5 painfully simple styling tips every tall woman needs to know.✨

1. Know Your Body Type - Besides being tall! Are you curvy, long-waisted, b***y, or broad shouldered? Dressing well is really about balancing your proportions and once you understand yours everything gets so much easier.

2. Have a Tailor Not everything is going to fit perfectly off the rack and that is okay. A simple alteration can completely transform how a garment fits and how confident you feel wearing it. Your local dry cleaner is a great place to start for simple fixes.

3. Know Your Colors -This one changed everything for me. I wore black for years and never thought twice about it. Then I got my color analysis done and it was a complete game changer. The right colors do not just look good. They make YOU look good without really trying.

4. Less is More- When your clothes fit well, feel good, and flatter your coloring you genuinely do not need much else. The right pieces speak for themselves.

5. Wear the Heels- Yes we say it all the time. But seriously, even a small kitten heel changes how you stand, walk, and feel. Just wear them and ignore any critics.

A message to my fellow tall women. We are done. 🙅‍♀️

Done with the slouching. Done with the apologizing. Done standing in the back so someone else feels comfortable. Done tugging at hems that were never long enough. Done squeezing into clothes that were never designed for us and convincing ourselves it was our body that was the problem.

That era is officially over.

From here we only celebrate. We celebrate the height that makes us unforgettable in every room we walk into. We celebrate the body that carries us through every single day. We celebrate the inches that took years to learn to love and that we are never, ever apologizing for again.

Because here is what I know to be true. You were not made to shrink. You were not made to hide. You were not made to spend one more morning standing in front of your closet feeling like your body is the problem.

You were made to take up space. Loudly. Unapologetically. Gloriously.

This is your reminder today that tall is not a flaw to manage. It is a power to own. And from this moment forward we are treating it exactly like that.

That was the day everything changed.

The Liv Wrap in our custom wave print is back in season and we could not be more excited to bring her out again.
