Post Interview Glow

I just had the best interview of my career and wanted to remember this moment as a reminder that there are great companies out there to work for. There’s also career roles out there you may not know about but are great opportunities that fit your personality. Y’all. I can’t even describe the joy I’m feeling right now. I’ve been waiting awhile for this. Whether I get this job or not, I have discovered a career path I’m intrigued and excited to get into!
I’m still interested in IT as that’s the future of our world, but I just interviewed for a Business Development position that cracked open another door to grow my skills. Oooo I’m excited.

🌵I wasn’t sure for awhile but thank you all who have stuck around!

🌵I found two vendor stores where I rent a booth in a store and don’t need to be present. The concept feels like Marshalls but for small local businesses and it’s organized by each vendor’s items. It’s brilliant and affordable to rent! I’m so excited!

🛸✨𝗠𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻✨🛸

I’ve been having a really hard time mentally for months. I thought it was a funk that would pass, but it wouldn’t go away. I’ve pushed people away and isolated myself thinking I could handle it on my own by sleeping it off. It started to scare me so when anyone I knew asked me how I was, I just told them the truth. Turns out I have genuine people in my life who care about me and weren’t uncomfortable. A lot of people can relate. I’ve had some great advice I have lost sight of- we are here to EXPERIENCE life. I know it sounds simple to most, but for anyone feeling numb/just existing, it’s overlooked or left in the tar. I’m putting all my energy towards being spontaneous to shake off the work & bed routine. No expectations, no planning, just get out and do. It’s not a cure, it’s a step that feels exhausting but will be so worth it. It’s better than being where I’m at now is what I keep telling myself. I’ve done some cool, odd things in my life that I forgot about until I reflected on what’s good in my life. I miss that weird self. The one who is holding her self doubt and fear in her hands as she grabs the yoke, flying the plane. I told myself I’d never forget that moment, but I did for awhile. Don’t let yourself forget your experiences.

Twenty-eight is a weird age. A purgatory between twenties and thirties. It’s the awkward stage of the twenties. You’re seen as more mature but not quite there. What’s left of your immature qualities are brought to the surface and highlighted for you to mold into the next level. The last pieces of my insecurities are one giant wave hurling towards me, and I’m to face them. Deal with them. Heal.
I can understand why some strong women have told me “your thirties are your best years.” Things that matter now, wont and you’ll be free of them.

I think we’re given breadcrumbs, little hints, for us to follow to discover our paths in life. They have been revealed slowly in my case that I’m just now paying attention and putting it together. It’s not my purpose or destiny, it’s a pathway if I choose to follow.
I feel like myself near water. The salty air, the animals living under the dark water, the sound of waves greeting the shore, the seagulls in the sky.
With a passion for animals and a longing for the ocean, I wonder what I’ll do next?
