Their under the instruction of master gunsmiths he received his Associates degree with a minor in the Applied Science of Gunsmithing. After graduating in 1982 and receiving instructor recommendation he returne

d to West Virginia and entered into an apprenticeship of his own. Living in a state rich in fi****ms and a high demand for gunsmith services, Timberline Outfitters L.L.C. was established. Here he has refined his craft building, restoring, customizing and repairing thousands of fi****ms. The shop is a 1000 sq. log building dedicated to fulltime gunsmithing. Here is offered one of kind services that are not provided in production shops. Gunsmith work is performed on rifles, shotguns and pistols. With the proper training and over 30 years of experience Cale offers hard to find gunsmith services. Working to preserve our firearm heritage and performing a dying art. While in gunsmithing school 1980’s, it was recommended that we read Jim Carmichael’s Book of the Rifle.

A couple of months ago, a customer brought a Wi******er 70 bolt action 375 H&H to have a stock made for it.

In passing, he mentioned that it had belonged to Jim Carhichel. It was not until later I recognized the name.

I have been privileged to complete a project from Jim’s collection. Quite an honor! Hope I do not disappoint!
