Ruth's Place Thrift Store Ruth's Place is a thrift store in the Bellevue neighborhood of Schenectady, NY. We offer low-priced, gently-used clothing for women, men,children and babies.

Also smaller housewares and seasonal décor. Ruth's Place Thrift Store opened in December 2013, as a ministry of the Bellevue Reformed Church, located at 2000 Broadway in Schenectady. Our vision for Ruth’s Place is that it be a place of:

Rest — for the weary;
Refuge — for those who sometimes feel overwhelmed;
Recognition — of each person’s value and of God at work in each person’s life;
Recycled Resources — offering good quality, affordable clothing and housewares.

Did you know? All of our adult clothing, pants, tops are only $3. Youth clothing $1. Infant sizes 50cents. Shoes $2. Belts, ties, scarves $1. We are your answer to the rising cost of clothing your family.
We are able to do this because of the generous donations by our neighbors and friends.
Please, if you are thinking of donating, clothing must be clean, free of stains and/or holes. Our customers deserve the very best.

Yes, it is Tuesday Jan. 27. We are open today. Our on street parking is very limited. If you are driving in to see us our suggestion is to park at the dollar store parking lot across the street. We have a path to the store going around our mountain of snow. Please use caution.

We are so thankful for our loyal customers who have been with us since we opened 12 years ago. We are thankful for meeting new faces every day. If we haven't seen you in a while, please know that you are thought of and missed. We wish all of you a happy, blessed Thanksgiving. Please note that we will be closed on Thanksgiving day. We will be OPEN on SATURDAY the 29th for small business Saturday. All of our Christmas offerings will be on display.
