Happy New Year! I sure hope this is a better year than last year. At least for my family.
I regret to inform everyone that once again we have to close the store. We have had an outbreak of Covid in our immediate family and we’ve all been exposed to it.
In a few weeks I’ll post the status of the store.
For those of you that have been setting up tables on Saturdays, that is obviously on hold now for the immediate future. I do want to thank you guys again for the first three December Saturdays that you came out and experimented with this.
For those of you that have collections dropped off, I will get to it when I can safely handle your things.

Good morning, I hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to let you know that we have a few tables that have opened up today for anyone that would like to come out and sell/trade some of their collectibles. The store is open today from 12-4 if you’d like to come out and set up. There is no cost as this is still just an experiment through the month of December.
The first week we were a little slow but the second week we picked up some momentum as word got out that we are open again. This will be our third week. (We do not set up the tables on Sunday’s but we are open 12-4).
We also have free gifts for the kids today, no purchase necessary, so parents even if you can’t come in just park in front and let the kids run in quick and get their gift.

Hello, Everyone. I just wanted to thank those that came out last weekend. The people that set up tables appreciated that. It was a little slow, but I suppose after being closed 19 out of the last 20 months, it will take a little time to build things back up again.
We have more collectors coming out this weekend to set up tables again. If you get a chance, come on out to see them. If we can make this work, and I can stay healthy, I’ll try to keep this going every weekend. I know the weather is supposed to be bad tomorrow, so if you do come out, please be safe.
The store will be open Saturday and Sunday 12:00 to 4:00. Thank you again, Everyone, for not only your recent support, but for all the support in the past. Please be safe and hope to see you soon.

Hi everyone. I’d first like to thank all of you for the well wishes and the messages. It’s greatly appreciated. I’ve gotten back to most of you but there’s still more people I need to thank. I’ll do that soon. Thank you all again. I’m feeling much better.
This weekend December 4th and 5th we are going to open the store back up. I hope to hold up ok and keep it open this time. I’m excited to announce that we have temporarily obtained the unit next to the store. With this acquisition we are going to try an experiment. This weekend we have several people coming out to set up their own personal tables. I have no idea if this is a good idea or not but we are going to try it. If it works we will keep it going. If it doesn’t work I will shut it down and not commit to my landlord for any future weekends.
If you would like to set up a table for this weekend please message me. Tables for this weekend are free to set up because this is just an experiment. If this seems to work I will obviously have to charge for future weekends to offset the rent.
We are still looking for someone that deals in supplies and sealed wax boxes. If you’d be interested in coming out please let me know.
For those of you setting up tables you can come at 11:00 to start setting up. The store opens at noon and closes at 6:00. Same thing for Sunday other than we close at 4:00.
I hope many of you can make it out. I think this could be a lot of fun. If it’s not we’ll just scrap it, no harm done. If you’d like a table for a different weekend in December please message me.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to let you all know that we’ve had to extend our closed hours through December 4th. Without going in to much I’ve had a couple health issues I’ve had to deal with and it had gotten pretty serious. I’m feeling a bit better but I still have improvements to make. I’m just not at a point yet where I can open with the way I still feel.
Many of you have reached out to wish me well and many of you have messaged me. I am so sorry that I’ve been slow to get back to most of you but I have seen them and I still plan to get back to each and every one of you. Thank you!
I’d rather not post on here what all I’ve been dealing with but its not Covid. When the store opens back up I’ll be more than happy to talk then with anyone that comes in and would like to know what’s been going on.
In the meantime we are now hoping to open back up the weekend of December 4th and 5th. We are also opening up the newer unit for some of you to come in and set up your own tables. We think this could be a really cool idea for some of you. We’d like to do this every weekend through Christmas and maybe beyond. For some of my other friends that have their own stores, please know you are welcome to come by and set up a table if you’d like and get some of your flyers out to my customers so they know your store locations. I know a lot of you have done plenty for me so I’d like to extend that out to you. I will post more about this in a couple weeks. It’s also possible that our landlord may let us use one of his empty units for extra tables. I still have to talk to him more about this but he was not against the idea, in fact he liked it. It will just depend on availability. Just a quick note on this idea, we could really use someone that can set up a table of supplies and someone that has sealed boxes. At the moment I still don’t have a distributor and I honestly don’t know if I even care to go that route again.
I just want to apologize one more time about not getting back to all my messages yet. It’s been a tough run the last few months. I hope this post finds all of you doing well. I will do my best to get the store opened back up on the 4th. Thank you all for being so kind through this and all of your support through the years. I’ll reach back out shortly.

Sorry for the late notice, everyone, but we won't be able to open this weekend, Labor Day Weekend. Unfortunately, the Flu has gotten to me. I hope to be open next weekend, September 11th. Stay safe and healthy, everybody!! See you then. :)

Good morning everyone. It’s nice to see some things getting back to normal. Unfortunately for the store I am not ready to open the store yet. I don’t want to get in to much here but it will be a while yet before I can open back up. I’m shooting for an opening date the first weekend of June now. The store may also change ownership shortly.
I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone. If anyone has collections they dropped off for appraisal please message me back and we can work out a time to meet during a weekday.
I will keep you all posted on the status of the store. And of course I thank all of you for the many years of support. It may just be to much now for me to keep up with.

Good morning everyone. I hope you are all doing well.
Without getting in to much, I wanted to let you all know that the store will be closed this weekend and the month of April. The store will open back up the weekend of May 1st.
We have a company coming in to improve the store security features and we also want to do a thorough inventory.
If you’ve been in the store lately you will have noticed we have a lot of stuff and it’s beginning to pile up and look like a mess. We want to take this time to also improve the appearance of the store.
If you have dropped off a collection for us to look at, please pm us so we can get back to you with a time and date to meet up during the week. We will not be available the next few weekends.
I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Spending more money on improved security is not something I wanted to do but there’s a small amount of people out there that make it necessary.
Thanks so much much for supporting the store. When we open back up May 1st we will be starting our 9th year.

Good morning, just wanted to say thank you to all of you that reached out on our last couple of posts. We’ve made progress and we should catch this thief soon. Thanks again.
I have a customer that just dropped of four boxes of 2020 first off the line Limited Football. It’s available for $590 a box. When I looked last weekend the lowest I saw it anywhere was $660. I have not checked prices today. Nevertheless we have it here today. If it’s still sitting here at 4:00 tomorrow he’s taking it back. I can’t hold this due to it being time sensitive so if you want it try to get in right away or call first and I’ll let you know it’s availability. 847-891-2255. If we don’t answer please try again. It just means we are busy with other customers.
The last thing I wanted to mention is a friend of the store is custom making the framed jerseys I posted. The pictures do not do these any justice. I’m tight on room here in the store and they’re in a tight spot at the moment. These are really cool and nice quality. We can get these done for $195 at the moment and in most cases you can pick the player you want him to make. These make a great gift! Come in and take a look at these when you get a chance. If we can move these at a reasonable pace we will keep them in stock.

Hi everyone. I want to thank those of you that commented and/or shared our last post of our latest thief. I’m sorry I haven’t replied back to each and every one of you yet but please know I really do appreciate it.
Please share this post with your favorite sports/hobby shop and anyone else that you think may be able to help. We are getting closer to catching this guy but I may still need a little help. The Schaumburg police are enhancing the pictures so that will help with the license plate and car. It worked last time they did it so I have positive thoughts of it working again. However, I don’t want to slow down on my end. We did get a couple of anonymous phone calls from people that thought they knew who it was but were uncertain. Because of this I didn’t turn it in yet. I want to be certain. So I’ve posted three short videos in the hopes that this may help identify him.
In the first video I did slow motion. You’ll notice at about the 45 second mark he looks up at the camera. That’s about the best shot we have of his eyes. The 2nd video (In the comment section) is regular speed just to get a different perspective. The 3rd video is him walking out the door and into his car. I know the video is dark, it’s a lot better here in the store.
We have several cameras in the store. I’m just posting this particular angle this time around. I’m sure you can understand why I can’t post the video of him taking the cards. That’s on a different camera towards the front of the store. It’s a perfect shot that leaves no doubt as to what he took and when he took it. I just can’t share it at this time and I’m sure you can understand why.
We are hoping these videos help a little better than the previous pictures we posted. Also I want to note that I’m 6 foot tall and he’s easily a couple inches taller than me. I figure this guy is at least 6’2 as you’ll note in the video. If you have any information on this guy please private message me or call the store at 847-891-2255 Saturday 12-6 or Sunday 12-4.
For those of you that know me you know that since I’ve had this store (8 years now) I’ve always taken the money that the store has made and put it towards our four kids days a year. Any other additional money will obviously go towards bills. When a guy like this comes in the store to steal it’s only taking away from what I can do for the kids. It also takes away from the discounts that we offer on most weekends.
This guy and others like him ruin the hobby for everyone else. I want this guy! Please let me know if you can help.

Hi everyone. I hope you’re all doing well. I’m sorry to ask this of you all again but our latest thief just made out with over 1K worth of cards. You may ask why this keeps happening. I really don’t have an answer for you. I’m not really sure why people insist on doing this. We have a lot of inventory and some of it just has to be out where it can be handled.
Without going in to much, this latest thief thought it would be a good idea to take some cards off the counter. These cards were just dropped off from a customer and we were in the process of putting them away. Yes it happens that fast. The cards were literally on the counter for less than five minutes. I was in the process of putting them away.
The main card he took off with was a rookie Luka Doncic card valued at about $800. It is his rookie Orange Laser card for those of you that collect. I still have to contact the customer that dropped these off to see what else was taken.
I’ve posted a couple picks of him. What I didn’t post is him taking the cards. I save those for the police. The third picture is him getting in his car. We have a great picture of him pulling away and will get the help of the police to enhance the photo so we can read the plate. Again I don’t want to post that yet.
If anyone knows who this is it would be of great help because we like to forward that information on to the police. They’ve always appreciated the time we have saved them by finding the thief’s identity for them.
A police report has already been made, now it’s just a matter of catching him. If you have any information it would be greatly appreciated. Please private message us so you remain private or call the store at 847-891-2255.
For those of you that shop at other stores you may want to forward this on to them. He originally came in here wanting to sell me cards, so there’s a chance they’re stolen too.
Please save any negative comments you may have to yourself. I’d just like to hear from those of you that may be able to help.
Thanks much everyone! I’ll keep you updated and shortly I will post the status of the last guy we caught. That one is still ongoing because apparently I’m not the only one he has stolen from.

Merry Christmas and a happy Holidays to everyone. I hope you all had a great Christmas!
Due to an illness in our family and what seems to be a dramatic rise in the COVID virus in the store’s neighborhood, we have taken the unfortunate steps of closing the store this weekend December 26th and December 27th and next weekend January 2nd and January 3rd. We plan on reopening the weekend of January 9th, if we feel we can do it safely and responsibly.
I hope that all of you are safe and healthy and those same wishes are extended to your family and friends.
This has really been a tough year on many of us. Let’s hope for a safer and better 2021.
Thank you, and I hope you all understand. I know many kids have gift certificates to the store and are anxious to bring them in. Please let the kids know we will be back soon and we are thinking of them.
