It is with sadness to share the passing of Richard Koch at the age of 94. He started teaching History & Philosophy in 1959 at the high school before becoming the Dean, Assistant Principal and Principal. He also served as a wrestling and tennis coach, yearbook advisor and summer school Principal. He retired in 1985. Our deepest sympathies to his family, friends and former colleagues. May he rest in peace. 🙏

Dear Sayville Retirees,

We are reaching out to support Kellie Lindskog, who is facing two unimaginable losses. Kellie tragically lost her brother, Jon, in a boating accident, followed by the heartbreaking loss of her 15-year-old grandson, who drowned in the Dominican Republic while trying to save a young girl.

Sadly we have learned Stan Brett has passed away. Stan was the school psychologist in both the middle & high school before retiring after 25+ years in Sayville. He also taught at Adelphi University at night & was in private practice too. Stan was active in the pre-union days as an advocate for teacher rights and student (especially special needs) rights too.
Our deepest sympathies to his family, friends and former colleagues. May he rest in peace 🙏
