This is my second holster of this type, it incorporates some improvements over the prototype. This one is meant to hold a medium to small or compact frame semiautomatic pistol. I covered the interior metal parts with scrap leather to prevent contact with the gun and marring it's finish. The round cup like piece inside is for a spare magazine. Each stitch is made with doubled threads for strength.

For me this is a new style of knife sheath, outward it looks like many others. The band across the front is more than a decorative addition, look at the back of the sheath and you'll see it's function. The belt goes through it and holds the sheath in a horizontal position. By doing this you might avoid it poking into your hip, a chair or car seat and your seat belt will lay across it. And not be entangled with it or impair you ability to buckle your seat belt.
