This blue heron has been living in my studio for about a month now, and I finally got its print version up on my website. It caught some attention at my Forsyth Park booth right away, but my favorite reaction came from a kid who took one look at him and declared the whole thing completely gross. I always forget how refreshingly unfiltered kids can be, and honestly, I loved it. As adults, we tend to accept the natural world on its own terms, and nature has a way of reminding us that survival is beautiful, even when it is a little uncomfortable to witness.
The original is mounted on an 11x14 cradled panel, finished with UV varnish and cold wax, and it is waiting for you at Arts Southeast in Studio 4. My studio door stays open whenever the shop and gallery are open, and I have a Venmo QR code on hand, so stopping in and taking something home is easy. Prints are also available on my website at the link in my bio.
