“The Banjo” $100. If you’ve been following Project S.M.A.R.T Mstar Arts Creative Community Thriftique we’ve transitioned from Found and Foraged Sound to Experimental Art and Sound. Because we’ve got such great feedback and interest in the project, we’ll be extending the activities into next year and bringing in “Unusual Musical Instruments.”. This year we sculpted rock salt into starfish. We experimented with glue and and rock salt to make a flexible sculpting material that hardened like clay after drying. Unlike making ice cream, the rock salt combined with glue created a material that doesn’t melt in air or in water. Go figure, we came up with a starfish and some other natural world items that we could like to the process.
So what better item to list for sale in the Thriftique than an ice cream maker to support our cause and buy more rock salt for the next sculpting activity. You can start a fundraiser or donate to this project if you don’t need an ice cream maker.🤔 Find our donation and project need list on Morningstar Arts Creative.
