Finished the week one task for the with an hour to spare 💪 Procraftinating at its finest ✨Thanks to and for hosting.

I'm excited for the scrappy fabric goodness in this quilt. Low volumes are my love language and they'll be the star of the show as the ghosts. I also decided to make a few kits featuring fabrics from the shop and curated this great solids bundle too! Link in bio ➡️

I'm including a fun fabric panel in each kit. As printed, it makes two tote bags and treat bags, but could be used in so many different ways.

The sewing room was our primary bedroom before the longarm arrived. It gets most of its natural light in the afternoon but that corner window glows for about an hour every morning to welcome the day.

So much joy and gratitude to walk into this scene this morning. How beautiful did the Harbour Wave pantograph stitch out on this shark themed by 😍🌊 Gives all the summery beach vibes!

Features on today's overly optimistic to-do list:
✂️ Trim & bind Raspberry Kisses quilt
✂️ Trim & bind the Fishing Net quilt
✂️ Complete the Scrappy Hearts quilt top
✂️ Cut FPP papers and start choosing scraps for the block swap by
💻 Work on the web site for at least two hours.

Rookie Season with has been so good! Doors are open for local and mail-in quilts by the end of this month 🎉

I loved getting to work on my Scrappy Hearts quilt for a bit this weekend ♥️♥️♥️

I organize all of my works in progress (WIPS) in plastic bins and store all the fabrics and specialty notions each project requires within. My favorite are these bins I initially bought for scrapbook paper. I’ve told myself no more, so now I have to complete one before starting another. The next in line is Jane's Ladder by Alli . I wasn't able to join her sew along finishing soon, but hope to have the throw size done by summer.

I usually press with my wool mat and my M2 Mini Project Iron. The iron gets super hot and helps manage wayward seams and it's lightweight enough that my hand doesn't get fatigued. This combo *almost* makes pressing enjoyable - it's hands down my least favorite step of the quilting process.

We've been dreaming some big dreams and are so excited to share about some changes coming this way! Along with changing our name, we've also purchased a Gammill Statler Ascend longarm quilting machine. Beginning next month, we'll begin offering edge-to-edge longarm quilting services to local and mail-in customers. I'll be sharing more in the coming weeks and would love to have you follow along and share our story. So grateful for your support! - Katie

As much as I love the prints, solids are steadily growing on me 🌱 Adding more into the shop from each week.

Solids are versatile and work so well with both modern and traditional quilt designs. Just curated this bundle to coordinate with the collection by 🦋

Stayed busy at home between extra shifts this weekend (surgery never sleeps).

Mostly studying and family time, but managed some fabric time also. Been hoarding this Off Shore Fabric by Deena Rutter for a special August birthday girl. Nothing like a deadline 🤪 Aren't the fabrics so fun and beachy? They've definitely got me looking forward to our upcoming beach vacation.

It was a full weekend with family here in beautiful Savannah. The first card I ever gave my husband when we were dating had a bicycle built for two on the front.

This by Beverly McCullough of has sweet bicycles that remind me of those early days with my sweetheart.

Snapped a quick photo of this custom nautical baby quilt before getting it in the mail today ⛵️⚓️I love this fabric and enjoyed working with my client to coordinate with the nursery theme. Few things make me happier than the thoughts of babies on my handcrafted quilts! 💙
