It’s time to introduce you to our fabulous vendors who will be joining us for Indie Untangled 2026 on October 16th! 🎉

Today, we are starting with Mary of !

29 Bridges Studio offers a curated collection of hand-dyed yarns and spinning fiber designed to let your creativity shine. Founded by Mary, a native Pittsburgher now based in Maryland, the studio draws on a lifelong love and learning of fiber arts to create saturated tonals and coordinating speckles.

Mary carefully selects ethically sourced superwash and non-superwash bases and spinning fiber, dyeing consciously with attention to sustainability.

5 Things Every Maker Should Do in May

Spring is officially here, and I’m ready for some fresh air, fresh inspiration, and some fresh new projects. Not that I need to be adding more to my list, but it is spring after all! Back in March, I wrote a blog post called 21 Winter-to-Spring Transitional Projects: Light Layers. In that post, I shared 21 projects, which were all clothing items, that you could make to transition from winter to spring....

Are you looking for new projects to make in the month of May? Then check out these 5 projects that are perfect for every knitter to make this spring!

Want to help make Indie Untangled happen?

One of the things I love most about Indie Untangled is how welcoming and friendly it feels, and we couldn’t create that experience without our amazing volunteers.

We’re looking for a few fiber folks to join our team this year. If you’re planning to attend and have a little extra time, we’d love your help with:

• Greeting and directing attendees, particularly from 12–3 p.m. and 2:30–5 p.m.
• Snapping photos and helping out in our photo area

Follow the link in our bio and click on the Volunteers Needed image in the grid if you’re interested in helping. We’ll review responses and get back to you if your preferences match our volunteer needs.

If you’re volunteering with friends and would like to work together, be sure to note that in the comments section, and have each member of your group complete the form.

In exchange for a few hours of your time, you’ll receive a free ticket to Indie Untangled, a swag bag, and a limited-edition T-shirt.

Most importantly, you’ll be helping create the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes this event so special.

How The Indie Untangled Show Has Changed Over The Years

When I launched Indie Untangled in 2014, the goal was simple: to create a space where knitters and crocheters could discover talented indie dyers, makers, and fiber artists in one place. At the time, the indie yarn world was growing quickly. New dyers were popping up on Etsy and Instagram, and makers were building small businesses around beautiful hand-dyed yarn, project bags, stitch markers, and other accessories....

Learn how Indie Untangled has changed since our launch in 2014 and get a sneak peek of what to expect for our 13th annual Indie Untangled show!

Another wonderful year at ! It was so nice spending quality time with my fellow yarn industry folks, discovering new yarns and products, and seeing so much creativity on display (including some incredible cosplay!).

The Indie Untangled Small-batch Pavilion/Needlearts Alley was bigger than ever, and I loved getting to work with so many talented small businesses.

Back when I first started regularly attending the New York Sheep & Wool Festival, I looked forward to the feeling of being surrounded by fellow fiber lovers. Everywhere you turned, there were incredible handmade outfits, creative color combinations, and people excited to talk about what they were making.

Even standing in a long line for cider donuts or squeezed into a crowded booth, there was a warmth to it. A feeling of belonging.

That feeling only grew when we created the Indie Untangled Rhinebeck kickoff, and I’m so excited to welcome you to our 13th annual show on Friday, October 16 at HITS on the Hudson in Saugerties, NY.

We’ll be hosting 45+ indie dyers, spinners, yarn producers, and small-batch makers, including more than a dozen new-to-Indie vendors, to three covered marketplaces at a large equestrian center with gorgeous views of the Catskill Mountains.

The vendor list goes live tomorrow, and tickets go on sale Saturday, May 16 at 12 p.m. Eastern. Your timed entry ticket lets you enter the marketplaces starting at your selected time and then come and go throughout the day.

New this year, we’ll be introducing a group of featured designers and our Designer Friends Passport, with opportunities to meet designers, collect stamps, snap selfies, and enter to win prizes. More details are coming soon.

When you’re not shopping, you can grab something from the food trucks, relax in the tented lounge, and spend the day with old and new fiber friends.

Learn more at indieuntangled.com/rhinebeck and sign up for the newsletter to get all the details — and be first in line for tickets so you can get your preferred shopping entry time.
