My old friend Duke Boyd once said, "You have to reinvent yourself every 10 years."
Another old friend Corky Carroll has done just that.
Professional Surfer, Musician, Recording Artist, Actor (Miller Light Commercials)...
He is now an artist and painting some really nice pieces.
He lives in Mexico but ships all over.
I have some pieces myself.

Ok busy week
I'm sitting here in the hospital recuperating from triple bypass surgery last Friday.
Just got out of ICU and they gave me my phone back.
I'm doing fine.
Doctor Noda is the greatest.
He knocked it out in a couple of hours and never stopped my heart.
I think he went skateboarding after he finished.
The surf shop is closed thanks to brother Rick who sold just about everything.
We still have some fixtures and furniture left and we'll be moving it over to our booth at Antiques and Uniques in Melbourne.
It's been a great 24 years and as one of my old friends told me: you need to end well.
I hope we did.
But it's not an end. It's just a new chapter.
Be on the lookout for our reboot of our online business.

Ok we're winding thinks down at the bricks and mortar Balsa Bill Surf Shop.
I'll be recovering from surgery for a few days while my brother Rick Yerkes handles the wind down.
T shirts half price at $12 each.
Pigment dyed. Pre washed and printed in our own Tropical Design t shirt plant.
Later on we'll do a relaunch on our online store but for now get them while they last.

9:9 solid balsa with laminated wood glassed on fin.
Now it's back for sale after hanging for 24 years.
Never been in the water.
First $2700 takes it home to surf, hang on your wall or leave to you kids (or all three).
Current price for a similar new one: $3900.
