In spring, our greenhouses come alive with colorful annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, herbs, vegetables, vegetable starts, houseplants, and custom container gardens—making Sunnyside a go-to destination for seasonal planting. When fall arrives, we host our popular Fall Festival & Pumpkin Patch, featuring thousands of pumpkins from New York farms, plus hayrides, train rides, cider donuts, and live bluegrass music every weekend. During the holidays, Sunnyside transforms into a festive winter wonderland with freshly cut New York-grown trees, handcrafted evergreen wreaths, and the Capital Region’s largest selection of poinsettias, open from Thanksgiving weekend through December 23. 🚨🌱 FROST ADVISORY FOR SARATOGA SPRINGS TONIGHT 🌱🚨

Mother Nature would like to remind everyone that it is still somehow MAY in Upstate New York. 🥶

Temps are expected to dip into the mid-30s overnight which means frost is possible from midnight through early Tuesday morning.

Translation:
🌺 Your hanging baskets = stressed
🍅 Your tomatoes = fighting for survival
🌿 Your basil = absolutely not having a good time

If you already planted frost-sensitive plants, cover them up tonight or bring them inside if possible. Towels, sheets, buckets, flower pots… tonight is their sleepover era.

Mother’s Day Weekend at Sunnyside! 🌸💐

We’re gearing up for one of the busiest weekends of the year and just wanted to share a few quick reminders before the rush!

We’re currently a little short on help, so we kindly ask for your patience with cashier lines and employee assistance throughout the weekend. We appreciate it more than you know!

Due to being short staffed, we will unfortunately not be able to accommodate landscapers this weekend. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask that landscapers please plan to stop in during the week moving forward, preferably Monday or Tuesday when things are less hectic. Thank you for understanding!

Please park in designated parking areas only. Do not block driveways for emergency access or create your own parking spots.

Please leave pets and furry friends at home, or keep them in your vehicle. Our full pet policy can be found in the FAQ section on our website.

If you participated in our Make It For Mom event, your creations are ready for pickup! Stop by anytime today, tomorrow, or Sunday during store hours to grab them.

All pansies are BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE! This includes hanging baskets, bowls, flats, and packs.

We’re still expecting some chilly overnight temperatures this weekend, so keep an eye on those nighttime lows and bring in any plants that can’t handle the cold.

Our hours all weekend are 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
